The distance from Tbilisi to Yerevan is about 170 km in a straight line and 2-3 times more – on roads (depending on the route). To get to the capital of Armenia, you can use several transport options. So, almost every day (and even more often during the summer season), intercity buses, minibuses and minivans depart from Tbilisi to Yerevan. There is a railway connection. There is also a flight (the flight time is only 30 minutes), but this option is not in great demand since other types of transport are more affordable. An important nuance – on the border of Georgia with Armenia, you will find a passage through a checkpoint, which can take from several minutes to a couple of hours (depending on the current load).

Definitely the most convenient form of transport. Of course, a taxi ride will cost a little more. However, it is possible to save a little if you do not mind traveling companions, so the cost of the trip is simply shared among all passengers. Travel time will take from 6 to 6.5 hours. Despite the fact that a taxi is the most convenient way to travel, there is always a danger of encountering unprofessionalism or dishonesty of the driver. Therefore, it is undoubtedly preferable to contact a trusted tour operator in order to avoid all kinds of misunderstandings and not overpay for the service.
