      In this tour we will discover not only the ancient culture of Armenia and the beauty of Armenian nature, but will also have courses of yoga. Yoga is a combination of various spiritual, mental and physical practices. It is the art of self-discovery. It starts with the physical perfection of the body and ends with spiritual perfection of a human being. This is the way to restore the balance between human being, nature and the universe.

      Arrival - Observing city tour - Etchmiadzin - Yerevan

      Transfer from the airport to the hotel. After a short rest we will start today's tour. . After yoga course (1 hour) we will go to Matenadaran, where 18,000 manuscripts are kept. All of them are included into the World Heritage List of UNESCO. Then we will walk to the Republic Square. On the way will have a stop at Cascade, where a wonderful view opens on mount Ararat from. Then we will take our way to Etchmiadzin. Here we will visit the Mother Cathedral. The church was built in the 4th century, after Christianity was adopted as state religion. In the evening we will have a welkoming dinner in a traditional restaurant with Armenian dances and songs. (B,-,D)

      Overnight: Yerevan

      Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank - Sisian

      Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to one of the three holy places in Armenia - Khor Virap monastery. It is the closest point to the mount Ararat. Then we will drive to Areni, famous for its wine production, visit the monastery of the 13th century Noravank, best known for its two-storey Surb Astvatsatsin church (to get to the second floor one need to take the narrow stone-made staircase jutting out from the face of the building) and the breathtaking view to the gorge. On the territory of Noravank we wil have yoga course (1 hour), then will drive to Sisian. Dinner in Sisian. (B,-, D)

      Sisian - Tatev - Karahunj - Sisian

      After breakfast at hotel we will visit one of the masterpieces of Armenian architecture - Tatev monastery.  When in Tatev monastery ( 9th century) one can enjoy the splendid architecture of the monastic complex, the breathtaking view to the deep gorge, see the oil press facility built in the 17th century. And last but not least, to get to the monastery one will need to take the “Tatever” cable car, which was recorded by Guinness World Records as the longest non-stop double track cable car. In the territory of the monastery we will have a yoga course (1 hour), then will visit Karahunj - an ancient observatory, which is 3, 500 years older than Stonehenge in England and 3, 000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids. Overnight in Sisian.       Sisian - Vardenyats passway - Sevan

      After breakfast we will drive to lake Sevan. On the way we will stop at the Vardenyats passway. In ancient times the Silk Road was passing here. We will have a yoga course (1 hour). Then we will continue our way to lake Sevan, will visit the monastery on the peninsula - Sevanavank. (B, -, D)

      Sevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

      Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit the only pagan tample lef in the territory of Armenia- Garni. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles built by King Trdat I in the first century A.D. and dedicated it to the God of Sun. Then we will walk down to Garni gorge, where the Symphony of Stones are. Here we will have a course of yoga (1 hour). We will have lunch in one of the villagers's house. Our next stop will be Geghard- monastery (13th century) carved out of the adjacent mountain and initially called Ayrivank (the Monastery of the Cave ) is included in the World Heritage Site. Due to the fact that the famous spear, with which the Roman soldier wounded Jesus, was kept here for 500 years, the monastery was called Geghardavank (the Monastery of the Spear). Here we will have a meeting with the priest. Back to Yerevan. (B, L, -)
