Our first stop will be Jukhtak Monastery. The name of the latter is popular (“jukht” means couple). It has two churches
Church of St. Astvatsatsin and St. Gregory the Illuminator. The names of Peter’s Monastery and Nightingale are also mentioned.
Then we will continue the hike to Matosavank. The monastery is located in the forests of Dilijan – Bldan
on the plateau on the right bank of the river. There are carved khachkars and inscriptions on the walls.
P.S. During the tour, we will cover a walk of approximately 5 km. Participants are advised
be in hiking shoes, comfortable clothes, wear a protective hat, goggles, have a raincoat.
