ONE WAY TOUR in cooperation with Mountain Campaigns is launching a new project: Camping to Syunik, Petroglyphs of Sisian.
So we head to Sisian, where truck cars will drive us up the slope of Mount Ukhtasar, where there are 7,000-year-old petroglyphs created by locals at a height of 3200 meters.
About 30 km from Sisian, at the height of Syunyats (Zangezur) mountain range, on the slope of Mount Ukhtasar lies a rocky monument, where more than 2000 rock sculptures have been found at the foot of the mountain. The magnificent pictures are engraved on the rocks and represent the life, hunting, beliefs of the ancient tribes of the Armenian Highland, as well as man and the surrounding nature.
An exceptional opportunity to cool off in the heat of summer, there is a small pond near the rocks; anyone can swim if you are lazy or you can play in the snow because even now there is snow.
