Cascade complex was built in 1970. The famous Cascade complex, the authors of which are G. Torosyan, S.Gurzadyan and A. Mkhitaryan is located behind the statue of Alexander Tamanyan. It connects the center of Yerevan to Victory Park, where the statue of Mother Armenia is located. From the top of Cascade there is a breathtaking view to the city center with its buildings and gardens. Cascade has monumental exterior and interior stairs. Cascade complex is enriched with green areas and flowers, fountains, unique sculptures and statues.
The well-established transport infrastructure of Armenia allows to get to Cascade complex by a private car or with the help of various travel companies which offer regular excursions and tours to different sights of the country. Due to the geographical location of Cascade complex the trip will not seem long.
The high season in Armenia lasts for a long time due to the pleasant climate conditions. Warm days in Armenia start in March and last until late autumn; winter is usually snowless and not long. The high precipitation season is variable. The tourist season for Cascade complex depends on the weather conditions.
There is the museum fund of Cafesjian on the territory of the complex, where works of modern art are exhibited. Moreover, various events for both adults and children are organized here.
The complex consists of five levels, which house works of world famous sculptures Linn Chadwick and Fernando Botero, khachkars and bass-reliefs. From the very top, a wonderful panorama of Yerevan city opens. The fifth level is a space, surrounded by 15 columns symbolizing historical past of Armenia.
