Deghdznut monastery is located southwest of Kirants (Getashen) village of Tavush, deep in the forest, on the hillside of Deghdznut. It was one of the significant spiritual and cultural centers of Kayen province of historical Armenia. With the perfection of architectural forms, the splendor of external decoration and ornaments, this group of monuments occupies a prominent place in the history of Armenian art. During the tour, we will also see the Sranots bridge, on the right side of which the ruins of the Kunen settlement have been preserved to this day.
P.S. The total length of the hike is about 19 km. Participants are advised to wear sports shoes, comfortable clothes, protective hat, goggles, food and water needed for 1 day (2-3 L), replacement shoes, walking sticks, first aid kit, raincoat and flashlight.
