The National Gallery of Armenia is the country’s largest and most important art museum, founded in 1921. The gallery has 56 exhibition halls, where the collections not only provide a comprehensive overview of Armenian national fine arts but also showcase foreign art from ancient times to the present day. Visitors to the gallery can see works by artists such as Hovhannes Aivazovsky, Minas Avetisyan, Martiros Saryan, Auguste Rodin, Peter Paul Rubens, Tintoretto, Gustave Courbet, Marc Chagall, Harutyun Kalents, and many others.
