"Mashtots Avenue is one of the largest and central avenues of Yerevan. Throughout history, it has had various names, including Armyanskaya, Sundukyan, Stalin, and later Lenin. Mashtots Avenue begins at the Victory Bridge and ends at the Matenadaran. A historical and architectural landmark, the Blue Mosque, dating back to the 1760s, is located on Mashtots Avenue. The Victory Bridge was opened in 1945, and the construction of the ""Close Market"" building was completed in 1952."
