Matosavank Monastery is located near Dilijan resort city. The monastic complex consists of a church with destroyed dome, a narthex and the ancient book depository. The construction of the church dates back to 1205 which is evidenced by the inscription on the facade of the building. Rough-hewn stone elements of different shapes and sizes were used to erect the architectural monument. Entrance to the church is decorated with cross stones and only one window illuminates the inner room on the west side. The abandoned monastery attracts fans of the unknown.
