About this video
This ONE WAY Tour video is about Trchkan Waterfall, one of Armenia's most picturesque waterfalls, on the border of Shirak and Lori Provinces. The waterfall is on the Chichkan River, a left tributary of the Pambak River. The Chichkan rises on the northeastern slopes of the Shirak Mountain Range at an elevation of 2,250 metres and is 29 km long. At about 25 metres high, Trchkan is the tallest and most water-abundant waterfall in Armenia, and locals also call it Chran. It gained national attention in 2011, when a hydropower plant was planned upstream, and the construction was halted thanks to a united civic protest. Watch the video, then see Trchkan Waterfall for yourself on a tour with ONE WAY Tour.
