The route passes through the Kotayk, Aragatsotn, and Lori regions, allowing you to get acquainted with the culture of different areas along the way, while our experienced guide shares fascinating facts about Armenian architecture and Christian history. During the day, we will visit the Odzun Monastic Complex, an exceptional monument of early medieval architecture, see the Verin Horomayr Monastery built on the top of the cliffs, and discover the secluded and peaceful Saint Hovhannes Complex of Ardvi. One of the special stops of the tour is Kobayr Monastery, hidden among forests and gorges, where a light and pleasant 20-minute hike leading to it will make your day even more complete and memorable. What will we see on this tour?
In one day we discover the historical and spiritual heritage of northern Armenia. The tour runs every Thursday until 2027-06-30. It starts at 08:00 and ends at 20:30.
Where is the meeting point, and where does the tour end?
The tour starts and ends at 1a Sayat-Nova Ave in Yerevan. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time: the group does not wait for latecomers, though you may catch up with the tour on your own if possible.
What is included in the price?
The price includes the guide's services and transport. Meals are not included: you can bring your own food or pay on site.
In which language is the tour guided?
The tour is guided in Armenian; if there are foreign participants, it may be conducted in two languages. Our guides are local experts who know the history, culture and the sites well.
How big is the group?
The group has at most 12 participants.
What kind of transport is used?
The tour runs on a comfortable minivan or bus, depending on the group size, and the vehicle is fully heated in winter. Seats are not pre-assigned, so arrive a bit early to pick your spot. There is usually no Wi-Fi on board, but mobile internet works on most of the route.
Can children join the tour?
Yes, the tour has no age restrictions. Children aged 0-3 go free, children aged 3-6 get a 50% discount, and from age 7 the full price applies.
Is there a discount for groups?
Yes, groups of 5 or more people get 500 AMD off per person.
