Our first stop will be Sevanavank, which we’ll reach by climbing a few dozen steps starting from the peninsula. After exploring the history of this monastic complex, you can optionally enjoy a boat ride on Lake Sevan — one of the highest-altitude freshwater lakes in the world.
Next, we’ll head to the picturesque Tavush Province, known not only for its natural beauty but also for its unique historical and cultural monuments. During the tour, we’ll visit the 13th-century monastic complex of Makravank, famous for its rich and diverse ornamental carvings. We’ll also visit the Tsrviz (or Moro Dzoro) Monastery near the village of Lusahovit, known for its distinctive architectural features.
P.S. The total hiking distance is about 2 km. Participants are advised to wear sports shoes, comfortable clothing, and bring a hat and sunglasses.
