Group day trip from Yerevan: a truck ride from Chichkhanavank through Chichkhan Gorge and a short hike to Trchkan Waterfall, nearly 20 m high.
About this tour
Our next destination is the stunning Trchkan Waterfall, located on the border of Shirak and Lori provinces!
From Chichkhanavank, we’ll take a ride in a truck through the beautiful Chichkhan Gorge. From there, a short hike will take us to the breathtaking Trchkan Waterfall, plunging from a height of nearly 20 meters. This natural wonder has been included in the list of Armenia’s natural monuments since 2008.
P.S. Participants are advised to wear sport shoes, comfortable clothing, bring a hat, sunglasses, extra footwear, and sunscreen.

How does the truck adventure work?
The route passes Aparan and Shirakamut on the way to Chichkhanavank. From there, a truck takes you through the beautiful Chichkhan Gorge, and a short hike then leads to Trchkan Waterfall.
What is special about Trchkan Waterfall?
Trchkan Waterfall lies on the border of Shirak and Lori provinces and plunges from a height of nearly 20 meters. It has been on the list of Armenia's natural monuments since 2008.
How much is this tour for one adult?
The price for one adult is 7,500 AMD, whatever the language of the guide.
When does the tour run?
The tour runs every Sunday until 2027-06-19, from 08:30 to 20:00.
Where is the meeting point?
The group meets at 1a Sayat-Nova Ave in Yerevan, where the tour also ends. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start: seats are not pre-assigned, so arriving early lets you pick your spot.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear sport shoes and comfortable clothing, and bring a hat, sunglasses, extra footwear and sunscreen.
What does the price include?
The price includes guide service, transport and the truck ride. Meals are not included: you can bring your own food or pay on site.
In which language is the tour guided?
The tour is guided in Armenian. If there are foreign participants, it may be conducted in two languages.
How big is the group?
The group has at most 12 participants.
Can children join, and do they pay the full price?
There are no age restrictions. Children aged 0-3 go free, children aged 3-6 get a 50% discount, and from age 7 the full price applies.
Is there a group discount?
Yes, groups of 5 or more get 500 AMD off per person on day tours.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the tour. Within 24 hours you get a 50% refund, and there is no refund after the tour starts.
