In the Footsteps of Gladzor University

Discover the historical and cultural heritage of Vayots Dzor by following the traces of one of medieval Armenia’s important educational centers — Gladzor University.

During the trip, we will visit the Yeghegnadzor Museum, where we will get acquainted with the region’s history and cultural heritage, then head to the Surb Hakob Church of Vernashen and Tanahat Monastery, sites connected with the history of the medieval educational center of Gladzor.

We will complete the cultural part of the day at the Areni wine factory, where we will have the opportunity to learn about the traditions of Armenian winemaking and the wine culture of Vayots Dzor.

This tour combines history, architecture, educational heritage, and the region’s winemaking traditions, presenting Vayots Dzor from a new perspective.
