Khndzoresk tours from Yerevan

5 tours · Group tours · Private tours

Old Khndzoresk is a historic cave settlement in Syunik. Its cave dwellings served both as homes and for defence. Later, stone houses were arranged in terraces in front of the caves, with an upper house’s courtyard forming the roof of the house below. A suspension bridge connects the sides of the old settlement’s gorge. Together, the cave village and bridge give a concrete focus to the Khndzoresk stops named in the tour programmes.

Group and private routes from Yerevan combine Khndzoresk with Tatev Monastery, Shaki Waterfall and Areni. The group programme explicitly lists the cave village and bridge. A different private itinerary names the Khndzoresk swinging bridge alongside Karahunj, Shaki Waterfall and Areni Winery. When comparing these routes, look at both the Khndzoresk stop and the other destinations rather than choosing by the village name alone. Check each programme’s complete list and tour format to find the combination of places that suits your interests.
