1. How these rules apply
These rules form part of the booking terms for tours organised by One Way Group LLC. They should be read with the tour page, written quotation, booking confirmation and, where applicable, the tourist-package contract. The specific confirmed document prevails for dates, price, inclusions, meeting point and service-specific cancellation conditions, subject to mandatory law.
A booking request is not a confirmation. Your place or vehicle is secured only after availability is checked, written confirmation is sent and the required payment or deposit is received.
2. Rules for every tour
- Check the date, departure time, meeting or pickup point, participant names, language, inclusions and contact number as soon as confirmation arrives.
- Arrive at the confirmed meeting point early. A group departure cannot normally wait for a late participant, and lateness or non-attendance does not by itself create a right to a refund.
- Follow reasonable instructions from the guide and driver, local law and safety notices at visited places.
- Food, hot drinks, alcohol, smoking and tobacco products are not permitted in the vehicle; closed water bottles are allowed unless the operator states otherwise.
- Keep personal belongings with you and report a lost or damaged item promptly. Responsibility is determined by the circumstances, the contract and applicable law.
- Pets are not accepted on scheduled group tours. Ask in advance about a private tour with an animal.
3. Clothing, health and accessibility
Weather can differ substantially between Yerevan and the route. Wear comfortable closed shoes and season-appropriate clothing; consider water, sun protection, a hat, sunglasses, a rain layer and warm clothing. Hiking routes may require suitable footwear, walking poles, a torch, personal medication and extra water or food.
Some sites can be reached only on foot, by stairs or over uneven ground. Tell us before booking about mobility, health, dietary or other needs. We will explain known route conditions and reasonable options, but not every vehicle or heritage site is fully accessible. Wear respectful clothing at religious sites; individual sites may require shoulders and knees to be covered or a head covering.
4. Scheduled group tours: booking and departure
- A departure may depend on the minimum participant number shown on the tour page. We normally confirm the operating status no later than the deadline stated for that departure.
- Payment is made in advance through an offered payment method or at our office at 16 Parpetsi Street, Yerevan.
- The guide language is shown on the tour. Another language is available only after written confirmation and may require a supplement or a separate guide.
- The meeting point is shown in the confirmation. Many Yerevan group departures use the courtyard of Komitas State Conservatory, 1a Sayat-Nova Avenue, but you must rely on the location in your own confirmation.
- Arrive at least 20 minutes before departure for check-in and seating. Seats are not reserved unless your confirmation expressly says so.
- The published duration is an estimate; traffic, weather, border procedures and visitor flow may change it by approximately one or two hours.
5. Scheduled group tours: cancellation and changes
- Cancellation at least 24 hours before departure: full refund of the tour amount paid.
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before departure: 50% refund of the tour amount paid.
- After departure or in case of a no-show: no refund.
Tickets, meals or other separately reserved services may have stricter disclosed supplier conditions. If we cancel the tour, we refund the cancelled service in full or offer an alternative for you to accept. A necessary equivalent route or service substitution does not automatically create a refund; if the delivered programme is materially reduced, we provide an appropriate price reduction or other remedy required by law.
6. Private tours: booking and programme
- Book as early as possible; we recommend at least three days before a one-day private tour, although later requests may be accepted when a guide and vehicle are available.
- The confirmed price is based on the route, vehicle, group size, language, duration and included services in the quotation.
- Pickup within Yerevan can normally be arranged from the confirmed address. Pickup outside the included area, extra stops or extra hours require advance agreement and may change the price.
- The published duration is an estimate. Additional time requested by the traveller is charged only at the rate confirmed before or during the service.
- Reasonable route changes may be agreed with the guide where time, road access, ticket availability and safety allow.
7. Private tours: cancellation and changes
Unless a different policy was disclosed and accepted for a customised route, the standard one-day cancellation rule applies: full refund at least 24 hours before departure, 50% refund with less than 24 hours remaining, and no refund after departure or for a no-show. Non-refundable tickets, accommodation, meals or special suppliers are handled under the conditions disclosed in the quotation.
If we cancel a private tour, we refund the cancelled service in full or offer an agreed alternative. Safety-related route substitutions are handled fairly according to the actual programme delivered and applicable law.
8. Outgoing tours and travel packages: booking
- The itinerary, flights or transport, accommodation, meals, excursions, insurance, visa support and other inclusions are those stated in the written offer and package contract.
- Unless the confirmed offer states another schedule, a 30% deposit is due after confirmation and the balance is due no later than 10 days before departure.
- The traveller is responsible for checking passport validity, visa and transit rules, border permissions, health requirements and the accuracy of names before ticketing.
- Airline, hotel and other supplier rules may apply to a disclosed component. A request is not ticketed or guaranteed until the required payment and written confirmation are complete.
9. Outgoing tours and travel packages: cancellation
The cancellation schedule in the signed or accepted package contract controls. Where that contract adopts our standard schedule, the planned maximum cancellation charge is:
- more than 31 days before departure: no standard percentage charge, but disclosed non-refundable supplier costs may be deducted where lawful;
- 21–31 days before departure: up to 30% of the package price;
- 11–20 days before departure: up to 50% of the package price;
- 10 days or fewer before departure or after travel starts: up to 100% of the package price.
Any charge is subject to the package contract and Armenian law and is adjusted where required to reflect costs saved and alternative use of the services. We provide a written calculation on request. A statutory seven-working-day reflection right may apply after conclusion of a tourist-package contract under the conditions described in our Booking & Website Terms.
Read the Booking & Website Terms10. Weather, force majeure and changes by the organiser
Weather, road or border closures, safety concerns, strikes, official restrictions and other extraordinary circumstances may require us to change the order, duration, transport, guide or visited places. Safety takes priority. We aim to provide an equivalent alternative and will communicate a material change as soon as reasonably possible.
If we cancel before departure because the service cannot be performed, or a disclosed minimum group size is not reached and notice is given by the agreed deadline, we refund the cancelled service without a cancellation penalty unless you accept an alternative. Where a programme already in progress is materially reduced, the remedy is based on the services not provided, the confirmed contract and applicable law.
11. Children, documents and border routes
Tell us every participant’s age when booking. Each passenger must have an appropriate confirmed seat; child pricing and child-restraint arrangements depend on the vehicle, route and current legal requirements. A responsible adult or authorised organisation must supervise minors and carry required permissions and emergency contacts.
For cross-border tours, each traveller must have the passports, entry and return rights, visas and other documents required for their citizenship and itinerary. We can provide general information but do not guarantee a visa or border admission. A group may be unable to wait beyond a short reasonable period for an individual document issue at the border.
12. Help during the tour, complaints and contact
Tell the guide or our support team immediately about a safety concern, missing service or other problem so we have a reasonable opportunity to help during the tour. After the trip, send the booking number, date and supporting information to [email protected]. Complaints are reviewed under the confirmed contract and Armenian law.
