Shoshka monastery is situated on the mountainous hill in the north-eastern part of Khachmach village. The monastery has an altar decorated with cross, three windows, a door connecting the valley to the western part. Durig the detailed study of the site it was tourned out that in the early Middle Ages there was a Christian structure. According to local studies, the former monastery was one of the main sanctuaries in the region, that after the renovation became one of the most remarkable monuments of Artsakh. A wonderful view opens on the Varanda and Amaras Riverside from Shoshka Monastery. Shushi is also visible from the monastery.
The well-established transport infrastructure of Armenia allows to get to Shoshka Monastery by a private car or with the help of various travel companies which offer regular excursions and tours to different sights of the country. Due to the geographical location of Shoshka Monastery the trip will not seem long.
