Mount Artanish is located in Gegharkunik province, on the northeastern shore of Lake Sevan. Height – 2461 m. There is a beautiful view of Pambak, Geghama, Vardenis, Areguni mountain ranges from the top. The top of Artanish is the only place from where the whole Lake Sevan is visible.
The well-established transport infrastructure of Armenia allows to get to mount Artanish by a private car or with the help of various travel companies which offer regular excursions and tours to different sights of the country. Due to the geographical location of mount Artanish the trip will not seem long.
The high season in Armenia lasts for a long time due to the pleasant climate conditions. Warm days in Armenia start in March and last until late autumn; winter is usually snowless and not long. The high precipitation season is variable. The tourist season for mount Artanish depends on the weather conditions.
Mount Artanish is a very convenient option for winter climbing as the height is not great, and the scenery is awesome.
