Kirants Monastery, one of the unique monuments of Armenian church architecture and medieval construction, is located approximately 12 km west of Kirants village in the Tavush region. Built in the 13th century, experts have determined its date based on its artistic decorations, architectural design, and structural composition. Unlike most Armenian monasteries, Kirants Monastery and nearly all of its adjacent structures are built of brick, making it an exceptional monument. The complex is enclosed by walls and consists of: three churches, hall-narthexes, a refectory, residential and economic buildings.
