Bovurkhanavank Monastery complex is located in Askeran region of Artsakh, on the northern slope of Bovurkhan Mountain. Bovurkhanavank Monastery complex consists of religious, economic and industrial buildings, surrounded by fortresses and towers. Most of the structures are destroyed. The eastern church is relatively well preserved. There is a narthex next to the church from the north.
The well-established transport infrastructure of Armenia allows to get to Bovurkhanavank Monastery by a private car or with the help of various travel companies which offer regular excursions and tours to different sights of the country. Due to the geographical location of Bovurkhanavank Monastery the trip will not seem long.
