Inclusions
1. Spitakavor Monastery, the tomb of Garegin Nzhdeh
The buildings of the monastery complex, surrounded by four-sided deep gorges, are constructed of whitish felsite, which is why it is called "Spitakavor".
2. Nzhdehyan pilgrimage site
The grave of the national hero, ideological leader, great Armenian military leader and politician, Garegin Nzhdeh, is located on the territory of the Spitakavor Church, which is why the church is also known as the "Nzhdeh Pilgrimage Site". In 1989, a basalt tombstone and a red tuff khachkar were installed, on which is written: "Peoples incapable of defending themselves with their own forces are punished with death", and below, as Nzhdeh had wished, it is added: "Here rests He who acted as a living sword".
3. Fortress of Trout Prosh (Proshaberd or Boloraberd)
The fortress is a 13th-century structure and requires a steep climb to reach it. The fortress was a royal residence, the walls and pyramids have been preserved, the palace of the Proshyan princes and other buildings of the fortress have been destroyed.
