As part of a special tour, this time we will go to Khoranashat monastery in Chinari village of Tavush region.
The total length of the walk of medium difficulty is about 5 km. Participants are advised to wear sports shoes, suitable clothing, wear a protective hat, and have enough food and water for the day.
Itinerary
1 Stop 1 Khoranashat
This cozy complex nestled on the green slopes of the mountains was one of the most significant educational, scientific, cultural and theological centers of medieval Armenia.
2 Stop 2 Nor Varagavank
Our next stop will be at Nor Varagavank, located about 2 km southwest of Varagavan village on a forested mountainside. This monastic complex was once the spiritual center of Vahramyan power.
