"One of the most important cultural and educational centers of the Vayots Dzor region, the Yeghegnadzor Regional Museum, was founded in 1968. The museum consists of several sections, including archaeology, numismatics, ethnography, personal archives, sculpture, nature, and more. The archaeology section showcases unique historical artifacts discovered in different periods throughout the Vayots Dzor region. The ethnographic collection provides insight into the history, daily life, traditions, and beliefs of the 17th-20th centuries. The numismatics section features banknotes from the 1st millennium BC, copper and silver coins, signet rings, medals, and decorations."
