Tour to Byurakan

Discover Byurakan and the historical, cultural, and natural heritage of Aragatsotn during one fascinating journey.

The tour starts from Amberd, then continues to the Surb Hovhannes Church of Byurakan and the Viktor Hambardzumyan Observatory, where we will learn about the history of Armenian astronomy and also visit the scientist’s house-museum.

During the trip, we will also explore the caves of Byurakan, see Zizi Stone, and with a short hike reach the leaning Artavazik Church.

The tour combines history, science, nature, and a small hiking adventure, offering an opportunity to discover Byurakan from different perspectives.

❗A hike of about 3 km is planned, so participants are advised to bring comfortable shoes, water, and food.
