Sisian, Tolors Reservoir, Vorotnavank

This historical and cultural tour departing from Yerevan offers the opportunity to discover Syunik’s rich heritage and impressive nature in one day.

The journey begins in Sisian, where we will visit Syuni Monastery and the Nikoghayos Adonts History Museum, getting acquainted with the region’s archaeological treasures. Then we will head to Tolors Reservoir to see the mysterious church submerged underwater, and visit the "Sisian Ceramics" workshop to learn about the traditions of Armenian ceramics making. The program also includes the medieval Vorotnavank located in the gorge of the Vorotan River and the early medieval monument-mausoleum of Aghitu, while the day will conclude near Shaki Waterfall, enjoying the view of one of Syunik’s most famous natural landmarks.
