Aragatsotn tours from Yerevan

Aragatsotn itineraries give several ways to combine the province's linked places. Aragats is a dormant volcanic massif; Amberd lies on its southern slope and includes a castle, a bathhouse and Vahramashen Church. Lake Kari is a mountain lake on Aragats. A group day route brings together Tegher, Amberd, Lake Kari and Voskevaz Winery. Private half day programs offer other combinations: one visits Byurakan Observatory alone, another joins Amberd, Vahramashen, Tegher and the observatory, and another links Lake Kari and Amberd with Saghmosavank. A separate group itinerary connects Tsaghkevank, Mughni, Hovhannavank and Saghmosavank. These routes differ in their actual stops, even when they share the same province. Compare whether the program centers on the observatory, the fortress and lake, or a series of monastery visits.
