Ijevan Museum of History and Regional Studies was founded in 1955. There are four sections and five exhibition halls in the museum today. About 1,600 exhibits were transported to Sardarapat Museum from the museum of Ijevan in 1992.

Here you can see the machine made in 1918, which was used by partisans of Caravanserai and Shamshadin, a radio receiver, which Joseph Stalin presented to the first tankman who entered Berlin. A Russian tanker lived in Tbilisi and moving to Kaliningrad gave a receiver to his Armenian neighbor. Sometime later, returning to Ijevan, the Armenian handed a radio to the Ijevan Museum.

One of the cannons in the courtyard, made in St. Petersburg in 1906, “took part” in World War I and the revolutionary battles, and the second, made in Yekaterinburg in 1927, "participated" in the World War II.

There are findings belonging to the 3rd and 2nd millennia BC, as well as objects belonging to the ancient kingdom of Urartu in Ijevan historical-geological museum.
