Erebuni Historical and Archeological Reserve-Museum was founded in 1968 on October 19, at the 2750th anniversary of Yerevan. The museum was created on the basis of the three ancient settlements, Arin Fortress, Red Hill and Shengavit, located on the administrative borders of Yerevan and on the basis of the remains of material culture discovered in these settlements. The Reserve-Museum is currently operating in the Red Hill and Shengavit branches. It is a very important urartology center in the region.
