In 2009, Gerard L. Gafesjian opened the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) in the Cascade Complex. Its mission is to present unique works of contemporary art in Armenia and showcase the finest examples of Armenian culture to the world. In front of the Cascade lies the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden, featuring expansive flowerbeds, walkways, and works by numerous renowned sculptors. In addition to its main activities, the CCA also hosts lectures, film screenings, concerts, and educational programs.
