We will start the hike from Arates village where we will see the Arates monastery complex, then we will walk along forest and mountain roads to Yeghegis. Enjoying the Teksar Mountains in all their beauty. We will end the hike near Zorats Temple.

The length of the hike of medium difficulty is 14 km. Participants are advised to wear hiking boots, appropriate clothing, a protective hat, glasses, and have enough food and water for one day.

1. Arates Monastery

Arates Monastery, an Armenian apostolic monastery complex in the Vayots Dzor region of the Republic of Armenia, on the banks of the Arates tributary of the Yeghegis River, on the top of a hill.

2. The Yeghegis Gorge

The Yeghegis Gorge is considered one of the most beautiful natural areas in Armenia. It is known for its breathtaking scenery, combining rocky ridges, green meadows, and dramatic cliffs.

3. Zorats temple

Zorats Church or St. Stepanos Church, a church in the village of Yeghegis, Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, built in 1303 by the Orbelian princes.
