About this tour
Join us for a special spiritual journey to Holy Etchmiadzin to experience the sacred atmosphere of the Easter Eve service. During this tour, you will visit several important religious landmarks of Armenia and take part in the traditional “Chragałuyts” (Candlelight) liturgy.
The tour includes visits to some of the most famous churches of Etchmiadzin. You will see the St. Hripsime Church, one of the finest examples of early Armenian Christian architecture, as well as St. Shoghakat Church and St. Marianeh Church. The journey continues to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
You will also have free time in the city to explore the peaceful atmosphere of Etchmiadzin and, if you wish, visit cultural places such as Machanents House.
The highlight of the tour is participation in the Easter Eve “Chragałuyts” liturgy at the Mother Cathedral, one of the most important and symbolic religious ceremonies in Armenia, when believers receive the sacred light symbolizing the Resurrection.
