This time we’re heading out to explore the hidden, yet incredibly beautiful spots of the Geghama Mountains.
You’ll feel the uniqueness of Lake Nazeli and Lake Vishapasar the moment you arrive there.
P.S. During the tour, we’ll hike approximately 8 km. Participants are advised to wear hiking shoes and comfortable clothing, bring a sunhat, sunglasses, food and water for one day (2–3 L), warm clothes, spare shoes, trekking poles, a first-aid kit, a raincoat, and a flashlight.
Inclusions
1. Lake Nazeli
Lake Nazeli is located between the peaks of Azhdahak and Spitakasar, 1.7 km east of Mount Nazeli. It sits at an altitude of 3,100 meters above sea level. The lake is also known as Badi Lake.
2. Vishapalich
Next, we’ll visit Vank Lake, also known as Vishapalich. It is located at an altitude of 2,620 meters above sea level. In the area, we’ll see “vishapakar” — ancient dragon stones. We’ll also discover the Geghama Mountains’ petroglyphs dating back to the Neolithic period, carved into massive basalt boulders. These are among the rare places where you can truly feel close to nature.
