"The Ararat Brandy Factory was founded in 1887 by Nerses Tairyants and has continued its uninterrupted operation ever since. In 1900, the factory’s first brandy recipe won the Grand Prix at an exhibition in France. Due to its high-quality characteristics, it was permitted to be labeled as ""Cognac"" instead of ""Brandy"", which was the standard term for grape-based spirits produced outside the Cognac region of France. The Ararat Brandy Factory continues to evolve and innovate, aligning with global trends and diverse taste preferences.
