House-Museum of Avetik Isahakyan

The House-Museum of Avetik Isahakyan, one of Armenia’s greatest poets, has operated since 1975. It presents not only the life and creative path of the poet but also the lifestyle of a wealthy 19th-century Gyumri family. The interior of the museum has remained unchanged. Visitors can see personal belongings of the poet—the desk where he wrote his first work, his childhood wooden cradle, his favorite coffee pot, and many other memory-filled items. The museum reflects not only the life and legacy of Avetik Isahakyan but also the culture and family environment of an entire era. It is regularly visited by both locals and distinguished guests, who appreciate the historical value of the exhibits and the spiritual atmosphere of the place.
