These goats are listed in Armenia’s Red Book and are considered a species in need of conservation. They are primarily found in the southern mountainous regions of Armenia, particularly in Vayots Dzor. The observation point is located near the village of Shatin, in the mountainous terrain of Vayots Dzor. It consists of steep cliffs, gorges, and rocky slopes, which provide an ideal habitat for bezoar goats."
