"Founded in 1994, the Areni Wine Factory is one of Armenia’s most famous and historic wineries, located in Areni village, Vayots Dzor. The factory produces a variety of red, white, and pomegranate wines. A visit to the factory includes a tour of the wine cellar, where visitors can see oak barrels used for wine aging, followed by a tasting session featuring traditional and fruit wines. The cafe on the upper floor offers tea, coffee, and a short documentary about Armenian winemaking and the company’s history. A gift shop next to the factory sells handmade souvenirs, crafts, and a wide selection of wines."
