About this tour

This hiking route to Odzun, Horomayr, and Kobayr combines medieval Armenian architecture, dramatic canyon landscapes, and an active outdoor experience in Lori Province.

The journey begins near Odzun, known for its early medieval basilica and wide views over the Debed Canyon. From there, the trail leads toward Horomayr Monastery, a striking complex partly built on the edge and slope of the canyon, with churches, khachkars, caves, and cliffside scenery. The final highlight is the Kobayr Monastery, a 12th-century monastic complex famous for its preserved frescoes and its location on the western slope of the Debed Canyon.
