ONE WAY TOUR organizes an exclusive hiking trip to beautiful Tavush. In the middle of the tour we will visit the wonderful Makaravank, and the hiking trail to Mahkanaberd will start from Achajur village and will be about 16 km. The fortress was founded in the 12th century on the top of a cliff, in a dense forest. XII-XIII centuries It belonged to the Artsruni of Mahkanaberd, for which the area adjacent to the fortress was called “the province of Mahkanaberd”. The walls of the fortress are relatively well preserved, but the monument has not been architecturally studied. It is now called Berdkar.
