Khoranashat Monastery is located in Chinar village, Tavush region. It was founded by the monk Vardapet in the first half of the 13th century, under the patronage of the Vahramian authorities Vahram B. Gagetsi. The first leader of the Khoranashat monastery was the monk Vardapet. In 1244, the monastery became the monastery of Paul, the brother of the monk’s brother.
The monastery was one of the most prominent educational, scientific, cultural and theological centers of medieval Armenia.
We will be in Shamshadim where we will enjoy the beauty of the Chilean Fower or Khndzorut reservoir and have time to enjoy the magnificent nature of Tavush.
There is about 3-5km of hiking.
