Lufthansa and Eurowings are well-known international airlines that are part of the Lufthansa Group aviation concern, which includes more than 550 different companies. The entry of these two aviation giants into the Armenian market will open up many new opportunities for local passengers to fly and travel. By the way, the Lufthansa Group has already been represented on the Armenian market by Brussels Airlines and Austrian Airlines, which have been offering flights to Yerevan from Brussels and Vienna for 20 years.
Lufthansa in Armenia

Since August 13 of this year, after lengthy negotiations, Lufthansa has returned to the Armenian market. So far, the airline offers air tickets for flights only in the direction of Frankfurt-Yerevan-Frankfurt. However, Lufthansa representatives say that flights to Vienna, Brussels and Cologne will also be available soon.
Eurowings in Armenia
The company entered the Armenian market on August 6 of this year. Eurowings positions itself as a “leisure company” and a low-cost airline offering flights at relatively affordable prices. Currently, Eurowings is the leader in airports in such cities as Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Cologne / Bonn. The company has at its disposal an air fleet consisting of about a hundred aircraft. Eurowings constantly offers direct “low-cost” flights across Europe, and in the” hot ” summer time for tourists – flights to more than 100 different destinations.
Flights of companies to Armenia
Currently, Lufthansa offers flights from Frankfurt-Yerevan-Frankfurt three times a week. Flights from Frankfurt to Yerevan will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. And on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – in the opposite direction (Yerevan-Frankfurt). However, in the near future, the number of flights is planned to increase to 16 per week, flights will be carried out to the following destinations:
• Yerevan-Vienna – daily,
* Yerevan-Brussels-5 times a week,
* Yerevan-Frankfurt – 3 times a week,
* Yerevan-Cologne – 1 time per week.
Eurowings offers flights to Cologne/Bonn – Yerevan – Cologne/Bonn. Flights are carried out once a week, every Friday, both in one direction and in the other. According to the information received from the company’s representatives, the departure from Cologne/Bonn takes place at 14:20, arrival in Yerevan – at 20:40. The return flight departs from Yerevan on the same day at 21: 30 and lands in Cologne/Bonn at 00: 20. Departure and arrival times are indicated according to local time.
