The traditional “Gata Festival” will take place in Khachik village of Vayots Dzor.
Within the framework of the festival, the guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the national song and dance, to participate in various games, to witness the preparation of gata and etc. There will be an exhibition of handicrafts and works of art at the festival. Participants will be able to taste the best gata, as well as delicious community dishes and delicacies.
During the festival, the world’s largest diameter gata is cut, which grows year by year .
During the tour we will visit:
– Khachik village
– Khotakerats (Karakop) monastery
– St. Astvatsatsin Church
– Source of Mesrop
– With those who want to hike, we can climb a place called Chran (2 km), from where a beautiful view opens to the village of Khachik.
