On the 5th of Oktober in Armenia is to be held an Armenian traditional costume festival which aim is to introduce to broad layers of society a traditional costume that is considered a part of a rich historical culture.
One Way Tour invites you to participate in the national costume festival and walk a little at the streets and museums in Gyumri.
During the event there will be the history of costume of different regions and time periods presentation, as well as traditional songs and dances and folk games.
After the festival we will leave for Gyumri and visit ”Kumayr” museum-reserve where the old streets of the most colorful cities of our Republic are centered (Varpetats, Abovyan, Rustaveli, Ghorghanyan, Jivani, Gorki) with its unique architectural buildings and old churches (Seven Wounds “Joth Verk”, St. Nshan and St. Grigor).
Then in case if we have time we will visit unique in its kind the museum of folk architecture and urban life of Gyumri or so called Dzitoghtsonts home, in the halls of which are most widely used crafts, public and cultural life from the 19th to the mid 20th centuries. In the halls of the museum the flats of craftsmen and wealthy people of Gyumri are reconstructed.
